横浜クリケット・ブラスト 第一シーズン閉幕 / Cricket Blast Wraps Up First Season in Yokohama

On Saturday 21st November the first Cricket Blast program in South Kanto concluded in glorious autumn sunshine at the Yokohama Country and Athletic Club.

During the month long program 25 different children attended along with 20 helpers and members of staff, while it was also pleasing to see several parents joining in the fun and games.

The Japan Cricket Association are also pleased to have eight different schools represented and hope this number will continue to grow as we look forward to 2016.

Targeting new players to get involved it was fantastic to see boys and girls playing together and everyone enjoying the various games and skill activities that were run before taking part in the game of cricket itself. Hopefully we have a new generation of players here in Japan!

A special thanks to Asala Wickramaarachchige for running each week with a smile on his face, and to all those who volunteered their time to ensure the children had a great time.

Thank you to YC&AC for giving us use of the venue and we look forward to returning in 2016.
