１０月２５日（日）、第二回昭島市長杯がエコ・パークで開催されました。遥々富士市から１チームが参加し、計８チームが優勝をかけて戦いました。

２０１４年のチャンピオン、拝島２チームの優勝トロフィー返還から一日が始まり、今年もトロフィー目指して戦いました。

拝島２チームは強いチームで、試合の中でもたくさんの選手が素晴らしい活躍をみせました。しかし今年の優勝トロフィーを手にしたのは、去年のファイナルのリベンジを果たしたインディアン・ヒドラチームとなりました。

昭島市長杯は昭島市の大きなサポートを受け開催されました。教育委員会、観光局の皆様の他、閉会式には今年も佐藤副市長がスピーチと勝利チームへのトロフィー授与のためにご出席くださいました。

当日の会場づくりと試合が円滑に進むよう協力してくださったコーチ、保護者、先生そしてボランティアの多くの方々に、日本クリケット協会一同心より感謝いたします。素晴らしい天気にも恵まれ、温かいサポートを得られた大会となりましたことを大変嬉しく思います。５０人以上の子供たちが参加し、皆が素晴らしい時間を過ごしました。

The 2^nd Akishima Mayors Cup took place at Echo Park on Sunday 25^th October and we were very happy to have 8 teams playing to win, including a team who had travelled up from Fuji City.

The tournament began with Haijima 2, Champions in 2014, returning the trophy and hoping they would be able to win it back again this year.

Haijima 2 were very strong again and had a number of players who impressed during the day, but the Indian Hydras got revenge for losing the final last year and took home the trophy.

Akishima City were also well represented with members of the Board of Education and Tourism Board all present while Vice Mayor Sato-San was again available to give a short speech and hand over the trophy to the winning team.

The JCA would like to give special thanks to the many coaches, parents, teachers and volunteers who helped out on the day with setting up the competition and making sure that everyone head a good time. We were very lucky to have such good weather and such great support. More than 50 children took part and all seemed to have a great time.
