Akishima

I began playing cricket at university and soon discovered what a great sport it is. At first I thought it was similar to baseball, but quickly realised it is 100 times better! Cricket is great fun and also encourages people to play in a fair way. Away from that it has provided me with some of my best friends and helped me to grow not only as a sportsman, but also as a person.

I now play cricket for the Japan National team and am aware how lucky I am to be able to work in the sport that I love and to be able to make a career from it. I am excited about helping the next generation of cricket players develop their skills and see how much cricket can give to their lives.
