About the Program

Weekly Themes

During the six-week Cricket Blast Series we hope to have something for everyone by offering different themes each week. Below is the structure for 2015.

Week 1: Come & Try!

Cricket Blast is a program for beginners, so Week 1 will be very different to all the others. This week we will divide the day into two sections:

  1. Learn to Play! This will include a demonstration for any first time players and time to practice batting and bowling in a fun environment.
  2. Cricket Blast Game! We will spend the 2nd hour playing a shorter form of Cricket Blast.

Everyone is welcome this week. If you have not paid the ¥4,000 registration fee then that is OK, Week 1 is free. However – if you have a good time then you can sign up for the rest of the series and receive your welcome pack straight away!

Everyone who has signed up will receive their welcome packs, which will include the giveaways for the season – so make sure you sign up early!

Week 2: Bring a Friend!

This week we will be offering incentives to anyone who brings a friend along for a game of Cricket Blast. Everyone who does will be rewarded with a ¥500 discount voucher to use at your local convenience store, plus a small gift for the friend who takes part.

Like Week 1 – this week is free for the visiting friend, but if they have a great time then they can sign up for the rest of the series and receive the welcome pack straight away!

Weeks 3 – 5: Cricket Blast!

These three weeks the program will run as normal. Everyone will play one game that will last for 90 minutes. There will be music playing, the Skill Zone to improve your game and chances for parents to increase their understanding of cricket as well.

Week 6: Parents Day!

The final week of Cricket Blast offers the parents the chance to have a go! As Cricket Blast operates in pairs, this week mum or dad can have the chance to play with their child (or against them if you prefer!). This is a great way for all the family to really get involved in the game and have a lot of fun!
