What is a Cricket Blast Ambassador?

A Cricket Blast Ambassador is someone who volunteers their time to help grow the game of cricket in their community. Volunteers are vital to the success of growing the sport in Japan and we believe they should be supported and nurtured so that they feel comfortable taking the game of cricket to a wider audience.

What does a Cricket Blast Ambassador do?

Ambassadors will support at School Cup days and Cricket Blast events. This support will mean helping to set up the day as well as helping to score and umpire the games. Away from those events an Ambassador will be willing to visit schools and run cricket education courses – this process is the most important contribution an Ambassador can make to cricket in Japan.

Who can be a Cricket Blast Ambassador?

Anyone can be a Cricket Blast Ambassador. All that is needed is a love of sport, a desire to learn and engage children with the game and a willingness to put in the time to help it grow in Japan.

Why should I be a Cricket Blast Ambassador?

By becoming a Cricket Ambassador you will receive the following:

• A branded tracksuit (top & bottoms).
• A branded polo shirt, cap and pair of training shorts.
• Business Cards from the Japan Cricket Association.
• An invitation to two social events per year specifically for Ambassadors.
• The opportunity to win the “Ambassador of the Year” Award, judged by the Cricket Blast Team and decided by the amount of effort out in. The winner will be put forward into the EAP ‘Volunteer of the Year’ award & the possibility of further recognition internationally.
• References from the JCA to future sports clubs/employers (if applicable).
• Rewards for introducing more Ambassadors to the JCA.

We also believe that cricket can help teachers and parents interact with their children in a fun way and that cricket can give everyone new experiences that will be remembered forever.
